Medicine should reach everyone who needs it.
30+ years. 70 countries. One mission.

That belief sparked Orchid Pharma in 1992. It drives everything we develop, manufacture, and deliver today.
From active pharmaceutical ingredients to finished formulations, and research laboratories; we bring together scientific innovation, manufacturing excellence, and partnerships that extend our reach to the patients who need us most.

The Orchid promise
We solve hard problems
When the world needed new weapons against antimicrobial resistance, we developed Enmetazobactam, a novel beta-lactamase inhibitor and the first new chemical entity invented in India to receive US FDA approval. When global health organisations needed a manufacturing partner to bring next-generation antibiotics to low and middle-income countries, they chose us.

We invest in innovation
India's only 7-ACA manufacturing facility. One of only three US FDA-approved sterile cephalosporin facilities in the world, and the only one in India. Proprietary fermentation and synthesis capabilities. Integrated R&D to commercial manufacturing. We build the infrastructure that enables us to control quality and cost from molecule to medicine.

We think in decades
Orchid developed Enmetazobactam in the early 2000s, out-licensed it in 2013, and reacquired full global rights in 2025. Some opportunities take twenty years to come full circle. We have the patience and conviction to see them through.

We partner for impact
The GARDP selected Orchid to manufacture cefiderocol for 135 countries with the highest antimicrobial resistance burden. That selection followed a rigorous vetting process. It reflects confidence in our ability to deliver critical medicines where they are needed most.

We deliver quality without compromise
Every batch carries our reputation. US FDA. UK MHRA. WHO-GMP. EU GMP. TGA Australia. Health Canada. We do not merely meet global regulatory standards. We build our operations around them.

We design for access
Breakthrough science means nothing if patients cannot afford it. We structure our partnerships with cost-plus pricing and volume-based commitments that make advanced treatments accessible to health systems in low and middle-income countries.

We focus on science that matters
We concentrate on therapeutic areas where innovation can save lives. Anti-infectives. Antimicrobial resistance. The problems others find too difficult or insufficiently profitable.
