Shri K Raghavendra Rao, Managing Director
Shri K Raghavendra Rao has a Bachelors Degree in Commerce from Andhra University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM-Ahmedabad. He is also a member of The Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Orchid. Prior to establishing Orchid, he was associated with leading organisations in India in various capacities. He was singularly responsible for developing a multi-business conglomerate in the Gulf, which included the region’s first ever bulk drugs plant. |

Dr. C. Bhaktavatsala Rao, Deputy Managing Director
Dr. C. Bhaktavatsala Rao holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University, an M.Tech. degree in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Management (both from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras). He has 30 years of experience in leading companies in India in the areas of industrial engineering, corporate planning, corporate strategy, business collaborations and general management. Dr. Rao has to his credit over 100 publications including five award winning contributions and thirty-five referred publications. He has been associated with Orchid since inception as Director and as Whole-time Director since August 1998. |

Dr. M.R Girinath
Dr MR Girinath is a Master of Surgery (General Surgery), a Magister Chirurgiae in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. Dr MR Girinath is the Chief of Cardio-Vascular surgery at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. He is an eminent Cardio-Vascular Surgeon, who has performed over 25,000 open heart operations including over 16,000 coronary bypass operations. Dr MR Girinath has been associated with Orchid since November 1992 as a Director. He is a recipient of several recognitions including the prestigious Padma Bhushan. |

Dr. I. Seetharam Naidu
Dr I Seetharam Naidu M.D, is the Consultant Anaesthesiologist at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. He has been associated with more than 30,000 open-heart surgeries out of which 70% are coronary artery by-pass surgeries. He is associated with Orchid as a Director since November 1992. |

Shri Subramanian Andi
Shri Subramanian Andi holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Guindy Engineering College, Madras. He was with the Government of India, Department of Defence Production for ten years and then joined IDBI and is currently its Chief General Manager. He is on the board of Orchid as a nominee of IDBI. |

Shri Anil Thadani
Shri Anil Thadani is the founder and Chairman of Symphony Capital Partners Limited formerly known as Schroders Capital Partners Limited, a private investment advisory company which was formed in 1992 as a joint venture with Schroders Pic of the United Kingdom. The new venture manages in excess of US$700 million in institutional money aimed at direct investments, development capital and buy-outs throughout the Asia-Pacific region except Japan. Prior to founding Symphony Capital Partners Limited, he was the Managing Director of another investment company which he founded in 1981. He was with Bank of America for nine years with assignments in San Francisco, Tokyo, Manila and Hong Kong. He also worked as a Research Engineer with Standard Oil of California in 1970-71. He has a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley. |

Shri Raj Rajkumar
Shri Raj Rajkumar (Alternate director to Shri Anil Thadani) has a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kerala, India, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a partner of Symphony based in Singapore. He is involved in new transactions and working with investee companies to provide operational support. He sits on the boards of portfolio companies in India, Singapore and China. Prior to joining the Symphony team in 1999, he was a member of GE's Corporate Initiatives Group based in Hong Kong where he was responsible for Six Sigma Initiatives across Asia. |
