Advanced, state-of-the-art equipment has been used wherever required to ensure the highest technological and quality standards.

Orchid's sterile plants (both for crystallisation and lyophillisation) have been built with European equipment, fabrication and support systems. Sophisticated analytical and quality equipment have been sourced from the world's best-known names to ensure utmost process integrity.

All manufacturing facilities of Orchid have fully self-reliant Quality Control departments with sophisticated equipment such as HPLCs, GCs, titrators, FTIRs and UV spectrometers among others to ensure complete conformity to stringent quality standards. Orchid has a fully computerised manufacturing and quality control system to monitor operations round the clock.

Orchid also has advanced microbiological testing facilities that are in line with international standards.

Orchid has been the youngest Pharma Company in India to receive the coveted ISO 9001:2000 (earlier ISO 9002) certification from Intertek.

Environment Vision

Orchid is today one of the few Pharmaceutical companies in India with a proactive and progressive policy on Environmental management.

The company has invested significant resources in putting up world-class effluent treatment infrastructure regarded as a showcase in the Indian pharmaceutical industry.

Orchid has pioneered 'zero discharge' pharmaceutical manufacturing in India. The company's facilities are the first and among the few 'zero discharge' pharmaceutical facilities in India. Orchid is also the first Pharmaceutical Company in India to have attained the coveted ISO 14001 quality certification from the Dutch Council for Accreditation for its quality environmental management systems. Orchid has also put together sophisticated technologies for vent gas condensation, solvent re-circulation and reverse osmosis.

Orchid also has a vehicle equipped with state of the art equipment to measure the quality of ambient air in and around its manufacturing facilities.

Orchid is recognised as an industry leader and has been awarded the Gold standard in environmental safety and protection by the Government of India and various industry apex associations.

Orchid’s endeavor in the area of Environmental Excellence was recently recognised with the TERI Corporate Award for Environmental Excellence 2009. This award was recently presented to Orchid by the Hon’ble President of India Smt Pratibha Devisingh Patil.
