API Facility - Aurangabad

Orchid's multi-site API complex in Aurangabad, near Mumbai provides multi-therapeutic product offerings comprising high-end betalactams, carbapenems and non-penicillin, non-cephalosporin (NPNC) API's. Spanning 100,000 sq. mtrs, this facility is a world-class manufacturing complex which can handle complex synthesis and reactions with the highest levels of safety and productivity.

The facility has an aggregate reactor capability of over 75 kl with reactors of varied metallurgy including cast alloy and several centrifuges, driers and production equipment. It is worth mentioning that the facility uses complex gases and a high technology hydrogenator system. World-class utilities, solvent recovery systems and quality control infrastructure support the operations in this facility. The plant also has a captive power plant of 1 MW capacity.

The facility is also awarded the ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System) certifications by KPMG.

The complex is approved by the UK MHRA (betalactams) and has been successfully inspected by the US FDA (betalactams & NPNC).

The environmental management systems are benchmarked with global standards and are compliant with all the stipulated requirements.
